An Immersive Fashion Experience
Earth Bride is a groundbreaking sustainable fashion project debuting at Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week 2024. At its core is a biodegradable gown, intricately embroidered with seeds, representing a marriage of haute couture and eco-friendliness.
This project aims to enhance the impact, significance, and visibility of Earth Bride, fostering international reach and cross-disciplinary growth while serving as an exemplary model and educational tool. The central question guiding this initiative is: How can we achieve meaningful impact and engagement with minimal environmental damage?
Earth Bride embodies a healing ritual, symbolically giving back to the Earth what we have taken and allowing it to regenerate in new and surprising ways. It represents an ongoing exploration into creating meaning and engagement for sustainable ideals, transcending the limitations set by the fashion industry and mass media.

Participate in embroidering a monumental couture dress with a variety of seeds and bulbs.
The workshops will be led by skilled embroiderers from Maison M'Elise, all while enjoying live classical music.

Join the Earth Bride embroidery workshop or take a guided tour with Robert Folmer, who will explore the museum’s collection with a focus on seeds and flowers.
Children can enjoy creating seed bombs in a hands-on activity.
The event also includes an invitation to witness the planting of the Earth Bride gown at Trompenburg, culminating in a special celebration of its blooming in May.
